| Thekkady
is another popular tourist attraction of Kerala.
Situated in the border between Kerala and Tamilnadu this hill
station is famous for one of the biggest wild-life sanctuary of
India. This sanctuary is famous for its dense forests, waterfalls
and spices. There is every chance that a tourists if lucky would
get to see elephants, sambar, tigers, gaur, lion-tailed
Macaques and Nilgiri Langurs in their natural habitat.
Thekkady which is also known as ‘Periyar’
has a magnificant artificial lake. A 2 hr boat ride here will
give you a chance to see the wild-life. One of the greatest attraction
of Periyar is the herds of wild elephants that come down to drink
water in the lake.
